Born and raised in the vibrant streets of Haiti, Chef Gertrude grew up surrounded by the aromas, spices, and soulful traditions of Haitian cooking. What began as a love for cooking with her family soon grew into a lifelong passion for sharing her culture through food.

After moving to the United States in pursuit of a better life, Gertrude faced challenges with strength, resilience, and her unwavering connection to home. Through hard work and dedication, she turned her dream into reality—becoming a successful chef and entrepreneur, bringing the taste of Haiti to her new community.

Today, through La Belle Princess Store & Dinner, Chef Gertrude serves more than just meals—she serves a piece of her heart, her heritage, and her homeland. Every plate is a tribute to Haiti’s rich culinary legacy and a reminder that no matter how far she’s come, Haiti will always be home.

By feeding the community, she keeps that love alive—one dish at a time.
